Child, Teen, & Family Counseling
At Living Well we work with individuals in the context of their families, and families as dynamic units. While every family’s pain points are unique, it is certainly not unique to discover conflict, power contests, burnout, distance, or worry have started to fray our most important relationships.
Child Therapy
Children often communicate their struggles through behaviors, moods, or changes in school performance rather than words. At Living Well we work simultaneously with children and their parents to quickly and completely address negative patterns. When working directly with children our Clinicians create an engaging space where children can express themselves through play, conversation, and creative activities. Our Clinicians then work to introduce age appropriate insights, coping skills, and emotional regulation tools. While collaborating with parents we offer psycho-education on parenting strategies that will ensure the insights, skills, and tools their children learn in the counseling room translate to home and beyond. Whether a child is experiencing anxiety, big emotions, behavioral challenges, or difficulties adjusting to life changes, we provide care that fosters self-confidence and positive relationships for years to come.
Teen Therapy
Adolescence is a time of rapid growth, identity development, and increased pressure. Teens are often in the unenviable place of dealing with real life problems with very few real life skills or tools. Add amplified emotions due to hormone changes, and it can be a recipe for a truly bad time. In therapy, we give teens a supportive environment to share their experiences openly, explore their values, gain perspective, and practice healthier ways of handling stress. Our approach balances independence with family connection, helping teens navigate the transition toward adulthood while strengthening the bonds that matter most.
Family Therapy
Family relationships can offer us our highest highs and our lowest lows. At Living Well, family therapy focuses on improving communication, reducing conflict, and fostering trust and understanding between family members. Whether your family is facing a specific crisis, adjusting to a transition, or simply feeling stuck, therapy provides a structured and supportive space to create new patterns and restore balance and connection at home.
